The tablet market has exploded in recent months, with tablets being the most desired present for Christmas 2012. So much so that some retailers have even reported a rise in profits linked to tablet sales.

Nowhere was the scrabble for a new tablet more intense than in Tesco stores on Boxing Day, when they dropped the price of the Archos 80 Cobalt to a jaw-dropping £49, less than half it's original price.

After trawling Tesco stores in Bolton I managed to secure one.
